Celebrating Spring
I think we can safely say that in the northern hemisphere we are into Spring time. For me, speaking personally, it is my favourite time of the year. The days are lighter for longer, nature is working its magic and flowers and trees are springing into life. The prospect of weekends out in my kayak and on the beach seem temptingly close. Yet, whilst we are here locked down into our homes, unable to be with each other, this seems a remote prospect at the moment. Luckily for me, my Granddad taught me that we should count our blessings and I have been doing that every day since I joined our business on the 3rd February this year.
I am truly grateful to be in a business that is strong, resilient, full of talented people who know how to weather a storm. We are learning what it takes to do our best work in these strange times. We have adapted quickly to new ways of working. We are taking care of each other, ensuring regular video calls happen to check in that all is as well as it can be, we continue to celebrate new business wins and we focus on what is available to us in all of our markets. We have humour, and compassion, all of this showing up in our social feeds as well as in InterNASHional news, and yes, we do take tough decisions to secure the health of the business and protect jobs whilst we go through these difficult moments. I am grateful for the courage and bravery too of everyone in our business.
Whilst it may be still early to think about returning to whatever the ‘new normal’ way of life will be, we are starting to prepare for that moment. To be ready with our plans so that we act quickly, decisively and put our focus on the areas which will bounce back soonest means that as the world begins to open up again we are ready to go.
So, whilst we continue to go about our daily business, we are quietly and intensely planning for the day we open up our offices again across the world.
In the meantime, do stay safe and well and enjoy as many moments as you can.
