I’m delighted that this week’s CEO Blog has been written by our new permanent Chief Information Officer, Ankur Anand.
This is week two for Ankur, and he has been busy meeting people and finding out more about our business. Here he shares his thoughts about his first fortnight and our digital transformation journey.
Have a great and relaxing weekend,
Driving Digital Transformation
It’s now been two weeks since I joined Nash Squared as Group CIO, and firstly I wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who have made me feel so welcome.
I joined Nash Squared for many reasons; its exciting growth plans, valuable heritage and respected brands were all attractions for me. But the main reason I joined was its people, and I have been impressed by the incredible talent and passion that exists within our business.
The CIO role
So, what does my role involve?
Well as Group CIO, my role is to deliver technology that makes it easier for us to do business. Easier for our employees to do great things for our customers and fellow colleagues, and easier and more attractive for our customers to do business with us.
This may sound simple, but it requires us to bring together many things across many brands. For instance our approach to customers, our data, our channels to market and our talented people. This bringing together of people, processes and technology is what we call ‘Digital Transformation’ and by doing it we can create a truly exceptional experience for everyone - customers, candidates and every one of you, our colleagues.
Delivering meaningful change
Throughout my career, I have been passionate about driving change and innovation. In my previous roles, I have led transformation initiatives to digitise workforce management platforms, enhance candidate and client experiences through data driven digital platforms, and implement industry-leading analytics capabilities.
I have witnessed first-hand the tangible impact of such initiatives, such as improved client and candidate satisfaction, a better experience for employees and of course increased efficiency and cost savings.
There is such a wonderful opportunity for Nash Squared to lead its field. There is so much great about our company, whether it’s the incredible loyalty our customers have for us, the amazing relationships we have, our brands or our people. It’s a long list.
By bringing these together through digital we have a chance to reach even higher, delighting our customers and winning and retaining even more business.
I’m excited to get started. I hope you are too.
