On the road again

By now many of you will have seen me at a Kick Off either in person or through video link, and I have a number ahead of me in the next few weeks. I absolutely love this. What better way to invest time than to spend it with colleagues getting to know everyone a little better, celebrating successes and relentlessly pursuing plans for the year we have just started.

Last Friday afternoon I spent time with our Harvey Nash USA and India colleagues. Wow, high energy, big plans, I was excited just listening to them. There are some new offers, new approaches to different segments of the markets.

Belgium

On Tuesday I headed to Belgium and participated in the kick off in Antwerp. You may know this but we have three key offices in Belgium. Brussels, Ghent and Antwerp. We met in our Antwerp office right on the waterfront in a very modern office set up to support our new ways of working. The Belgium teams were full of energy driving ahead with their plans for this year and each of the offices has its own opportunities and challenges in the year ahead, but what I saw was collaboration and that spirit of winning together.

London

On Wednesday it was back to London to join in with the Harvey Nash UK South Kick off. This time we were in a cinema with popcorn of course! Andy Heyes led from the front albeit with a really painful back injury. Great to hear the plans for each team and the awards ceremony built around the Nash Squared values was fantastic to be part of. Also great was the presence of NashTech, Crimson and Spinks. Collaboration was the name of the game and with some real rewards available for those of us who open up opportunities that result in won work for other service lines.

Thursday was NashTech UK and Europe kick off, this time held at Farmers & Fletchers, a modern event space near the London office. I am sure we all know what farmers are but I have to confess when I got there I did not know what a fletcher was, apparently it’s those who make arrows. A great location and another high energy few hours. Sharing the focus of each team and collectively the plan and how they will get there. The integration between NashTech and Knoldus really beginning to show up in our plans for this year. It’s exciting.

There is no doubt about it, every team kick off has resonated with our Pace & Focus theme and it was underpinned by collaboration as the way to grow.

Celebrating women

Throughout this week we have had a week of celebrations for International Women’s Day. We have had webinars, articles, podcasts, interviews, great chats between colleagues on camera. All of this underlying the importance of inclusivity for us all. Thank you to everyone who has participated this week, its been a joy to see and hear you all. In Hyderabad our colleagues did a 2k run together and had celebrations in the office with a delicious looking cake, who doesn’t love cake? They also attracted media attention with the run and ended up in a prominent newspaper. I thought you might like to see some of the photos they sent us.

As we head towards another weekend I wish you all time to relax and regroup for the week ahead. Keep safe and well and I look forward to seeing you out on the road.
